Needles & Hooks

Colorful yarn samples.

Knitting, crocheting and sewing have been passions of mine for many years. Knitting something intricate, or crocheting an afghan, I always try to add something unique and different just to keep my mind active and fingers busy. There are so many different yarns and materials available today to create new things, that I'm like a kid in a candy store when I visit a yarn shop. Many of the new synthetic yarns are splashed with such vibrant colors, and the subtle natural yarns are so exquisite that I feel like I'm “painting with yarn”.

A Pink Knitting Project I cannot sit idle. I have this tremendous need to be constantly busy doing something whether it's knitting or crocheting or sewing. I drive my husband crazy at times because I'll sit and knit for several days during the evening hours, almost get it finished, then decide to recreate something else completely, and start ripping it apart. Such is the life of a knitter! But this is how creative ideas are born everyday!

Any type of needlework is a constant learning process whether it is knitting, crocheting or sewing. There are always new knit and crochet stitches to learn and extraordinary new knit and crochet designs are always showing up on the many wonderful websites that are out there. It's so easy to create your own ideas based on the latest “fad”. However, nothing can replace the tried and true....the VINTAGE knitting patterns from long ago that never go out of style. Within the next month or so, I plan on offering a great deal on how you can acquire an E-book that I'm compiling loaded with Vintage Baby Knitting Patterns.
